Garry

Hello & welcome to my ‘Photo-a-Day‘ project web page.

I’ve been taking photos seriously since I got my first DSLR in 2005. In 2012 I decided to try and take a photo every day for a whole year. I managed that and have kept going ever since.

My 365 project is not meant to show the best of my photography, rather it is meant as a reminder of things I do, places I visit and people I see on a day to day basis, so you will find a range of subject matter and photographic quality in my blog entries below.

Thank you for visiting!

Getting Comfortable

This is a shot we took for the Animal Sanctuary to put on their website, which will hopefully attract potential new owners for the pup.

Today’s shot is in the town centre and shows the Xmas lights at the Colonnade Pub in Letchworth.

New Flashgun

Today’s shot is of one of my latest acquisitions, a new Yongnuo YN565EX, which is the Yongnuo equivalent of the Canon 580 EXII. Only it costs 1/3 of the price of the Canon.

Pylon in the Fog

Today’s photo comes from a cycle ride around the north of Letchworth out in the fields.

I liked the opaque nature of the sky as the pylon disappears into the fog.

Concert Audience

Today’s shot comes from another concert. This one was from my choir’s Christmas concert at the United Reformed Church in Baldock.

Tess in the Snow

Today’s shot is one of Tess on a walk over the Common. Although it snowed yesterday, and most of the snow had disappeared, the Common still had a reasonable coverage.

Zorki 4K

Today’s shot was taken in the light tent.

I was recording the most recent batch of vintage cameras added to the collection.
