Micro Memory

Today’s shot comes courtesy of a new toy for the iPhone, a 60x microscope.
New Camera
This is the latest camera to be added to my collection.
New Toys
I received a package from China today. My new torch.
This little thing is the most powerful torch I’ve ever owned. It works off one rechargable battery and can light up the whole garden with just one little LED bulb.
Hard Drive
I have a few hard drives knocking around the office desk, so I got out the Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens.
This lens allows shots up to 5 times life size (normal macro lenses are only 1 x life size).
Only a Rose
Today’s shot comes from a bunch of flowers given to my wife by our friends and neighbours to cheer her up after our lovely middle daughter left home for university.
We got one back in the summer and said goodbye to the second one.
Eye of the beholder
Today’s shot is an extreme closeup taken with my Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens.
The image is zoomed in on a £20 note and this is the Queen’s eye.

Tonight’s shot, taken at 23.30 hrs with just 30 mins to go, is an item I found in the kitchen.

The kids’ PC crashed a week ago and I got round to fixing it this evening.
Fly on a Stick
Today’s shot was done using the macro Speedlite setup I posted yesterday, with the flashgun directed right to the front of the lens.
Snail Panning
A macro shot taken around 3x life size with the Canon MP-E 65 macro lens.
This was actually a panning shot as I had to keep track of the snail as it foraged across the garden. It is surprising how fast they move when you are looking at them three times life size.
It’s a Flower
Taken in the garden. I haven’t got a clue what it is, but it’s on our rockery.
Bumble Bee
Today’s shot was just a quick grab shot before I went to work.
The bee was on the path outside the shed so I grabbed the camera, put the MP-E 65 macro lens on, ramped up the ISO to 4000 and took a quick set of shots, hand-held.

Today’s shot was a late night kitchen and macro effort.
Lily
Today’s shot follows on from my ultra macro a couple of days ago taken with about £3,000′ worth of camera and lens.
This one was taken with an iPhone 4S and £5 add-on macro lens. Same bunch of flowers.

Today’s shot was taken from a rather nice bunch of flowers given to my wife this week.
On the Line
I noticed the pegs on the line as I went to and fro from the house to the shed. I did a shot like this a few years ago so thought it might be wroth a revisit.

Today’s shot was taken in the garden when I noticed a snail on the path. I carefully lifted him onto our railway sleeper border and took a few shots.
