Seagull over the Fields
Today’s shot is just a quick grab of a passing seagull. Taken with the Canon 1D MkIV and a 70-200 f2.8 IS lens.

I took Tess for a walk on the common today.
As we entered from the car park, this little fellar was on the grass. He soon shot up the tree, but stayed still long enough for me to get a shot with my compact.
Today’s shot was taken early in the morning as I was coming off a night shift.
Today’s shot is a picture of a rat on our rockery. We had suspicions that there were rats about but this was the first time I’ve seen it, and what a bold rat it was too.
Today’s shot was done using the macro Speedlite setup I posted yesterday, with the flashgun directed right to the front of the lens.
A macro shot taken around 3x life size with the Canon MP-E 65 macro lens.
This was actually a panning shot as I had to keep track of the snail as it foraged across the garden. It is surprising how fast they move when you are looking at them three times life size.
Today’s shot was just a quick grab shot before I went to work.
The bee was on the path outside the shed so I grabbed the camera, put the MP-E 65 macro lens on, ramped up the ISO to 4000 and took a quick set of shots, hand-held.
Today’s shot came about after I decided to clean out the water pump for our rockery waterfall.
