On Broadway
Today’s shot was, as is so often the case, taken on one of my walks into town.
This one is a shot of one of the Art Deco windows on the side of our 1930s cinema.

Today’s shot was taken on my way back from the town centre.
I was walking past Morrison’s car park when I saw a gold Mini and thought I cold make something out of the badge.
Today’s shot was taken on a little trip to Hitchin after work to pick up my daughter’s new phone from the O2 shop.
Walking back to the car I took a couple of photos around the River Hiz.
Today’s shot was taken on my cycle back from town.
I just held the camera out as I cycled into my road and took a few snaps.
Today’s shot is just a quick little snap of my latest acquisitions.
I’ve taken photos of St Anne’s Church and the memorial over many years and this is one taken on the iPhone using one of the HDR Apps.
There may be times when a couple of days go by without a new picture appearing. This is not because I’m not taking a photo every day, but rather, with work and everything, I don’t always get time to upload the photos on the day I take them, especially when I’m on a late shift.
Sometimes you have to make the best out of nothing.
Today I got out of bed around dinner time and with all the faffing around before work I never got a chance to take a pic.
This evening sees me getting ready to drive up to Leeds tomorrow to shoot the finals of the British Universities American Football League.
It’s the third year I’ve shot the finals and it’s great to be recognised by the league for the standard of my sports photography.
Today’s shot is one of the items I’m currently selling on eBay to make room for my camera collection.
Today’s shot is a selection of cameras which have arrived in the post this week.
Another Zenit to add to the collection and a couple of Coronet Box cameras.
Sometimes photos can be creative, inspiring, record keeping, practical and taken for many reasons.
This one falls into the practical category.
Today’s shot is a copy of a photograph that I took on my iPhone when I went to visit my mother.
She was sent this photo by a brand new branch of the family which I discovered online only very recently. The guy in the hat is my mother’s father, who she never knew as he died when she was a baby.
Today’s shot was taken on a rare visit to London to see the musical Sweeney Todd.
Today’s shot is the back of my car having loaded it up with stuff for the tip.
This evening’s shot is another macro from my iPhone.
Today’s shot was a quickie over the garden fence of the evening sky.
Today’s shot is Tess wearing her new Easter Bonnet as bought by my girls today.
It’s amazing how many of my photos seem to be taken in, at or near Morrison’s Supermarket.
Today’s shot was taken on a walk over to the town centre. I was actually taking photos on a 1930s Voigtlander Bessa folding camera on 120mm film, when I decided to run off a few snaps on the iPhone.
Today’s shot is of some new gear that arrived in the post this morning.
Not the best photo I’ve ever taken, just a sneaky one over the garden gate of a film crew outside my house.
Today’s shot is a late night trip up the motorway on the way home.
Today’s photo is of a light bulb. It’s not the merit of the photo I’m highlighting; it’s just a quick grab shot on the phone, but more the shock I got when it arrived.
Another go with the slow shutter app on the iPhone. These slow shutter apps mimic a slow shutter, in reality all they do is take lots of photos at around 1/15sec and merge them together.
I’m growing chillis again this year and here is one of the first sprouted ones.
Today’s shot follows on from yesterday’s experiments with movement and car photography.
Always trying to push the boundaries with my photography, I mounted my iPhone into a Diff case, attached it to a suction cup tripod mount and stuck it on the outside of my car.
Tonight’s shot is a macro shot of the Zenzanon EII 75mm f2.8 lens attached to my Bronica ETRS medium format film camera.
Today’s shot was taken on my regular walk into the town centre, another shot of our Town Hall.
