Getting Cooler
Today’s shot was taken outside my shed.
A shot of one of my old box cameras. This one is made by Coronet and takes 620 film.
I tweeted to some of the wakeboarding community about the photos I took at the weekend.
I mentioned a few days ago that I’m trying to lose weight, so much of my eating is governed by the printing on the back of packages.
My other big passion, apart from photography, is singing.
I’ve sung with one particular choir for around 26 or 27 years and this year I took over as it’s musical director, so I get to conduct the choir at concerts.
I took Tess for a walk on the common today.
As we entered from the car park, this little fellar was on the grass. He soon shot up the tree, but stayed still long enough for me to get a shot with my compact.
Today’s shot is another taken around the town centre in Letchworth.
I was a little bit late for tonight’s shot. I could see a nice sky developing, but by the time I got the cycle gear on and rode a mile to the edge of town to get it, the sun was almost down.
I’m not sure who he was but he lived in Letchworth and lived 1916 – 2001.
His sculpture is in Willian Arboretum which I pass when I’m cycling on the Letchworth Greenway.
I’ve photographed this building several times over the years. I love the design and the greens and blues in the glass.
Today’s shot was taken just before I left for work on a late shift.
Today’s shot comes from a bike round around the Letchworth Greenway.
Today at work one of my colleagues had her last day at work, before moving on to pastures new.
We spent the day with Jane’s Uncle and Aunt up in Boston, Lincolnshire today.
They had a supplement recently in their local paper with photos from bygone days in the town. In 4 separate photos we saw Jane’s Aunt and Uncle, another aunt, and her father who died 4 years ago.
Today’s shot is of a flower from a bunch of synthetic flowers we’ve had in the house for a few weeks.
This is what I’ve been listening to on my iPod recently.
I use it mainly on my walks over to town.
Another shot from an evening bike ride. This one is at the back of an equestrian centre along the Letchworth Greenway.
I spotted the horse on the horizon so grabbed a shot with my Lumix which I keep on my belt.
This evening’s shot is literally a grab shot over the garden fence, of the sunset tonight. taken just before getting ready for another night shift.
Today’s shot was taken early in the morning as I was coming off a night shift.
Today’s shot is a picture of a rat on our rockery. We had suspicions that there were rats about but this was the first time I’ve seen it, and what a bold rat it was too.
It occurred to me today that with half a year gone in the ‘photo-a-day’ project, I haven’t taken a photo of our pet rabbit.
We went to friends’ 25th wedding anniversary party at the church hall this evening.
A selection of people checking out the second hand books at our local independent bookshop in Letchworth.
My latest bit of kit arrived yesterday, a magic arm.
I’ve bought it to use it as a flash bracket to get the flash head close to the end of the lens.
Today’s shot is another on the compact Lumix TZ30.
This one was taken on a walk into town and shows the old Letchworth Grammar School which fronts the Broadway in Letchworth.
Today’s shot was the 7th photo taken on a new Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ30 which was bought a couple of hours earlier.
I fancied upgrading my TZ18 which is a small compact camera I carry on my belt for times when I don’t have my DSLRs around.
Today’s shot is an extension of yesterday’s, in that it’s another test of the Lumix compact camera with a remote flashgun.
This shot wouldn’t be possible on a DSLR without High Speed Flash Sync.
Today’s shot was taken out of curiosity. I had the Lumix on the desk and tried to take a shot on macro settings.
